We have a lot of request about how to remove Ask Toolbar. If you used Toolbar Cleaner (if you did not, click here to download Toolbar Cleaner), you should already have removed Ask Toolbar. Just make sure you deleted each occurrence of the Ask Toolbar – there is one listed under each browser, Internet Explorer and Firefox. If you still see some Ask page, it’s likely that the toolbar previously changed you homepage settings and it’s the Ask homepage that you see, not the toolbar. If you want to change the homepage settings, please read How to Change Your Homepage Settings.

If for some reasons, Toolbar Cleaner was not able to remove the Ask Toolbar, you can use these alternatives:
1. Remove Ask Toolbar with the Control Panel
2. On the toolbar, locate the Options button at the right end and click on the down arrow. You should see an uninstall menu
3. On Firefox, you can go to Tools|Add-ons, select Ask Toolbar and uninstall

For more detailed instructions on how to remove Ask Toolbar, you can read Ask Toolbar Uninstall and Home Page Reset from Ask website.

Toolbar Cleaner is the best tool if you need to delete toolbars from your browser. Toolbar Cleaner is already removing over 1 million toolbars per month and among the top toolbars deleted, we find Conduit toolbars, Yahoo Toolbar, Ask Toolbar and Google Toolbar, and Bing Toolbar. However, Toolbar Cleaner does more than delete toolbars.

In addition to deleting toolbars and plug-ins, Toolbar Cleaner can remove unwanted apps from Google Chrome. Removing apps can be somewhat complicated (go in options, tools, and extensions), and it is much easier to do with Toolbar Cleaner. Toolbar Cleaner will list all the apps for your Chrome browser. You simply need to click the checkbox beside each app that you want to delete and then click on the Delete button and it’s done.

One other interesting capability of Toolbar Cleaner is the removal of applications from your Windows startup folder. The startup folder contains all the applications that launches when you boot up your computer. So if you ever want to see what’s in there, you can use Toolbar Cleaner and look for the Windows Startup tab. Again, if you want to delete anything in the list, just click each checkbox and click the Remove Selected Startup Item button.

Toolbar Cleaner remains the expert at deleting these countless toolbars. However, you can clean up your Chrome browser and your startup folder as well and it is much simpler with Toolbar Cleaner and it’s free! Click to download now.

Visicom Media today announced the release of the new version of its Toolbar Cleaner utility. In addition to removing toolbars and Browser Helper Objects (BHOs) from Internet Explorer and Firefox, as well as apps from Google Chrome, the newest release can now remove add-ons and plug-ins from the Firefox browser.

Firefox add-ons have become popular because they allow users to customize their browsers with added functionality, while plug-ins are small bits of third-party software, like the Adobe Flash Player. However, having too many add-ons and outdated plug-ins can severely impair browsing performance. With Toolbar Cleaner, users can ensure a better browsing experience by improving performance and reliability.

Toolbar Cleaner removes more than 250,000 unwanted toolbars, apps, add-ons, and plug-ins per month. Java and Adobe BHOs, the Conduit Engine, and the Ask Toolbar are among the top toolbars and BHOs removed from browsers.

Main features of the new release include the following:

Removal of Firefox add-ons and plug-ins (Firefox 5 supported)

Cleaning of the Windows start-up folders to remove unwanted applications that load when the computer boots up

Support of Internet Explorer in 64-bit mode

Toolbar Cleaner is totally free and can be downloaded from toolbarcleaner.com

Toolbar Cleaner is the first free tool to specifically address toolbar cleanup for each browser and to allow users to keep only the toolbars and apps they really need. By distributing Toolbar Cleaner free of charge, Visicom Media hopes to keep the toolbar and app market user friendly.

About Visicom Media

Visicom Media has developed a leading toolbar platform that enables publishers to engage with users and enhance their browsing experience. Some of the most recognized brands on the Web have put their trust in the Dynamic Toolbar platform, including Yahoo!, Comcast, NASDAQ, VeriSign, Oracle, Verizon, Date.com, iMesh, Miniclip, and Big Fish Games.
